This wiki never got finished, the time investment was just too steep for the value compared to simply working on Keysight 2.

Just real quick though:

• Pulses are square surfaces that use a transparent, emissive material that does not respond to lighting
• They are enormously configurable in their motion, and how and when they respond to note effects
• They are the only object that supports GIF playback
• They can be used for all sorts of stuff, such as: note labels, lens flares, soft mist, shockwaves, etc.
